About Me

I’m in the middle of it. The messy, the beautiful, the chaos … all of it! I don’t know what I’m doing half the time, but I do know that I’m doing my best to raise these kids to be healthy and sound young adults who love unconditionally but who will have healthy boundaries in their future relationships.

In this journey, I’ve learned so much and I’ve met many beautiful women who have been through this as well. My prayer is that this blog and podcast will grow to include wisdom from others much wiser than me. Stay tuned!

Because I’m still in the middle of raising my kiddos, I do have to be guarded about how much I share personally, so my focus will be mostly on the mom, not the children. Rest assured, I’m still going to be raw, real, and personal!

I can tell you that at the time of this writing, I have three kids in three schools (High School, Middle School and Elementary) and I parent over 90% on my own. I can’t wait for the oldest to start driving! 🙂 I’ve been divorced for four years, but he walked out 5 years ago without warning. Our marriage wasn’t pretty but him moving out was sudden and final. (More on that later.)

I really don’t know why God has called me to start this blog and podcast. Please do not assume that I’ve got this thing called life figured out. I made mistakes in my marriage and I’m ashamed at the way I’ve handled stress after he left. Right now, I sit here needing to lose over a 100 pounds, my face is breaking out with disgusting adult acne, I just started bawling over a TV show episode (have you seen The Good Doctor? oh, I love that show!), and my kids have heard filthier language come out of my mouth than anything they’ve heard on the school bus. There are times I’m an emotional wreck and there are times where I think I’m juggling it all really well. It’s life, I’m human, and I’m going to be real with you.

While my posts cover topics that will help all women in all stages of this journey, I do want to state that my perspective comes from a Bible-based and faith-filled position. I love Jesus! My journey hasn’t been pretty in any area, including in my faith, but you’ll hear about that in my posts and podcasts. Please feel free to share this with ALL women going through divorce and raising children. No matter where you are in your faith journey, I trust there will be something to touch your heart.

I look forward to continuing the journey with you!

~ Live well.
